Thousands Lost Electricity in South-East Queensland and Victoria Following Powerful Storms
Around 25,000 residences in south-east Queensland were left without power on the start of the week after intense storm systems passed over the state, producing wind gusts reaching over 100 km/h.
Substantial Hailstones and Extensive Destruction
Locals observed substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in particular locations. Meteorological experts announced that multiple regions across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

Weather Forecast
Moist weather were forecast to persist along much of the state's eastern regions this week as a atmospheric system continued to draw in moisture against the shoreline.
Tomorrow was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with ongoing thunderstorm potential expected across various areas of both states.

Health officials alerted that there was an increased chance of weather-related respiratory issues across the northern rural areas, specifically given the current weather patterns.
This caution comes after previous incidents where similar conditions led to significant health impacts in the state.
